On 02 March 2023, Thursday, Saveer Biotech Limited commissioned “RAPID CROP BREEDING HOUSE” at Tamil Nadu Agriculture University, Coimbatore was inaugurated by Dr. V.Geethalakshmi. Ph.D. Vice Chancellor – TNAU, Coimbatore, in the auspicious presence of Dr. R.Ravikesavan, Ph.D, Director – Directorate Of Centre For Plant Breeding And Genetics; Dr. Geeta, Ph.D. Professor & Head – Department of Pulses; Dr. Manonmani, Ph.D. Professor & Head – Department of Rice. This world class state of the art facility was established as part of ongoing National Agriculture Development Programme in TNAU. Reputed scientists & experts had taken part in inauguration & appreciated the work done by Saveer Biotech Limited in building this advanced technology project.
This Speed breeding facility aims to shorten the agricultural breeding cycle and accelerate crop improvement through rapid generation advancement. By using this facility, one can reduce the crop generation time by half and can increase generations per year depending upon the crop type.
